This is my first pair of Clarks boots. Wanted something light on the feet during the really hot Summer days. The length fits me fine in a size 12. I wear an 11.5 in most boots like Alden and Red Wing.and a 12 in regular shoes. Holding these up to a pair of Red Wing IR 11.5 shows they are the same length. The funny fit on these is the width. Wearing a pair of regular socks, my foot moves around a good bit. When switching to wool boot socks like I normally wear with my boots, there was no movement and the fit was good. If I had sized down a 1/2 from my normal shoe size (not athletic shoes), they would have been too short. My recommendation is to order your regular normal shoe size and wear thicker boot socks or put a good insert in them and wear thinner socks. Boots seem well made.EDIT: Wore them for the second day with boot socks and while comfortable, are still too wide and I do not have narrow feet. Length is normal though. Will have to do the inserts.I really like my desert. I've been wearing clarks for over 20 years and 5his 1 have not disappoint. Real comfy and I like the height. Very neat...the best!
