Columbia Men's Northbounder TurboDown Parka – Lightweight Waterproof Winter Jacket for Hiking & Outdoor Adventures

I really like this jacket and it is such a good price! I use this for Chicago winters and this jacket + a sweater or long sleeve is plenty warm for even 15-30 deg F weather.I do wish that the jacket had an inside breast pocket for a wallet or cell phone though.My husband has no complaints with his new parka and the olive color is more on brown side. We had to sell new Northface that kids bought him because he was so unhappy. Glad to have gone with ColumbiaUnbelievably lightweight yet warm. Worth every penny.When I first received this coat, I loved it! It was warm, great fit, lightweight, looked great, checked all of the boxes . . . and then came the feathers! They were all over everything, could never wear a sweater under this because I was covered in feathers. I had to send it back. Too bad, thought I had a winner.The best winter coat Ive ever had.It is SO WARM and comfy. I live in Northern Ontario Canada, we get lots of snow and cold winters. This coat is almost too warm and I love it. Every year Ive always had to wear a hoodie under my winter coat, with this coat I could probably be naked underneath and still be warm enough lolI am a lady and bought a size too big (on purpose) so I can't say how well the coat fits on a man but it seems to be a quality coat. No cheap seams. Durable shell (I snowshoe/hike through the woods, and so far NO damage from tree branches hitting me). The feathers haven't started leaking out from anywhere, like can happen with some down coats.I will be updating my review if any problems come up,but so far, this is ana amazing coat and I hope it lasts me for years!I’ve worn my parka now for several long walks as cold as -15C and it is warm and the fit is comfortable. It also seems to be wind proof in a light cold wind too. The fit and finish is good. I do struggle a bit with the zipper but expect I’ll get used to it. I’m very pleased overall.I was out in -35 temperatures and the coat blocked the wind very well and kept me warm. The only thing that I noticed, and maybe this is common with many down filled garments, was that I had down fluff and feathers stuck on my sweater after removing the coat.What a wonderful product: warm Turbodown 550 + OmniHeat = is like 800down, lost of pockets, full length, ... and double-zip back (on sitting) low to chest, velcro for ease of temp control. Love the colour, just dark enough to avoid stains ... 9.5/10 (FOR THE SALE PRICE)Not as described. Bought this coat specifically because of the removable hood. Shipping was qu0ick but when I got it there is no way to remove the hood. Like the coat but very dissappointed that hood doesn't come off.
